Automated Image Capture (AIC)

AIC includes Four levels to meet every need:

  • AIC-CD (Camera Devices)
  • AIC-SD (Standard Devices)
  • AIC-AD (Advanced Devices)
  • AIC-EP (Experiment Planner)

  • Automated Image Capture-Camera Devices (AIC-CD) provides cost-effective image capture from a wide range of cameras, allowing image capture of monochrome or multiple channels and time sequence functions.
  • Support for a wide variety of video and digital cameras
  • Supports monochrome or color cameras
  • Auto-exposure for brightfield or darkfield images
  • Includes time sequence acquisition
  • Real-time noise averaging, shading and background correction
  • On-line intensity histogram and profiles

  • Automated Image Capture-Standard Devices (AIC-SD) includes all functionality of AIC-CD and increases flexibility of SimplePCI to control many devices while capturing images. Adding AIC-SD to SimplePCI provides all supported device drivers for automatic capture of color and monochrome images using motorized filter and shutter controls. A Scan Wizard simplifies collection of image sequences for XYZ or wavelength over time (time-lapse). Image sequences are easily viewed in a data file. AIC-SD supports data grouping for each pass of a data set.
  • Capture up to 5 channels of data per field
  • Advanced exposure protection to minimize bleaching
  • Flexible stage control with Z sub range for XY, time scans
  • Interpolated focus over XY scanned pattern
  • Internal and external TTL control for acquisition
  • High speed streaming to memory and disk

  • Automated Image Capture-Advanced Devices (AIC-AD) enhances SimplePCI to provide cost-effective control over all major motorized microscopes and select scanning confocal attachments. A Scan Wizard simplifies collection of image sequences for XYZ and wavelength over time (time-lapse). Image sequences are easily viewed in a data file for later analysis.
  • Includes functionality of AIC-CD and AIC-SD device support
  • Comprehensive support for automated microscopes
  • Supports scanning array confocal microscopes
  • Automated capture of XYZ and wavelength scans over time
  • TTL I/O signals for electrophysiology synchronization
  • Pixel calibrations stored for multiple objectives

  • Automated Image Capture-Experiment Planner (AIC-EP) includes all functionality of AIC-AD broadening the flexibility of SimplePCI to capture images under user defined conditions. When advanced experimental control is required, AIC-EP supports multi-dimensional scanning and collection of image sequences with managed data storage. AIC-EP provides an elegant solution to cover many experiment scenarios, with visual programming at a high level language which adapts to many image acquisition designs.
  • Advanced technology incorporating intuitive visual interface
  • Drag and drop interface
  • High-level programming language without complex code
  • Virtual stage Interface of slides and multi-well plates
  • Debugging and feedback mode
  • Predefined template library supplied
  • Structured image storage

  • Applications:
  • Extended duration experiments
  • High-speed image streaming
  • Z series acquisitions
  • Multi-channel imaging
  • XYZ time-lapse
  • Whole sample mosaic scanning
  • Arbitrary multi-channel XYZ time-lapse image capture
  • User defined number of acquistion channels
  • Solve complex scanning problems
  • Multi-well plates scan
  • Linear and non-linear image acquisition
  • Integrates motorized and confocal microscopes
